Dr. Wilson grew up in Kirksville, Missouri. He attended Truman State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. In 1978 he graduated from ATSU/KCOM Medical School.
After completing his internship at Normandy Hospitals in St. Louis, Missouri, he completed his residency at Ohio University, Dayton Ohio with training at Ohio State University, University of Cincinnati, Indiana University/Purdue University, and Stanford University from 1979-1982.
Dr. Wilson is board certified in Ophthalmology and holds a professional membership with the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Wilson’s practice emphasis includes comprehensive ophthalmology, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and eyelid surgery.
He is married to Wanda Wilson D.O. And together they have three children, Kathryn Heet Ed.D, Philip J. Wilson III D.O., and Christine Wilson D.O.
